Testosterone propionate is a slow-release anabolic steroid no longer used commonly for the treatment of androgen deficiency or promotion of anabolic effects on muscles. Testosterone propionate is used in veterinary practice in heifers in order to stimulate maximal growth. It may come as a surprise that Testosterone Propionate can also be used when a female has low testosterone. While women only need a fraction of what males need, their bodies do need it to be balanced with their hormones.

Testosterone Propionate is mainly relied upon during a cutting cycle. However, it does work well during bulking cycles too. Understanding the full potential it can offer may make you think differently about how you will use it in the future for your own needs. The testosterone from the hormone won’t be active until the ester is detached.

During a cutting cycle, the person has to reduce their amount of calories consumed. A strict diet is followed to offer the body what it needs and to cut any remaining fat. The use of Testosterone Propionate can make it easier to maintain the lean muscle mass you have gained though. In a cutting cycle, your body will naturally start to use muscle for fuel and you want it to use fat instead.

The administration of testosterone propionate can induce production of proteins related to male sexual development. Clinical trials have shown a decrease in plasma LH after the administration of testosterone propionate.

When a person has low testosterone, it can be cleared up quickly with the use of Testosterone Propionate. Increasing the levels is what it takes to get the body to function as it was intended. Athletes find this to be a very flexible anabolic steroid and it can be used in both cutting and bulking cycles. During an off-season cycle, athletes find Testosterone Propionate to offer them more benefits than any other testosterone compound.

The higher levels of testosterone are going to increase the amount of lean muscle mass. It will also increase the amount of strength someone has. This all has to do with the amount of calories that are consumed and the type of workout someone is taking part in. Testosterone Propionate is also going to increase the rate of metabolism and that will help to burn fat in less time.

During a cutting phase, Testosterone Propionate can be used to help with keeping the lean muscle mass. The natural instinct of the body is to use muscle for energy when calories are reduced. This testosterone though can help to keep the metabolism high. At the same time, it will encourage the body to rely on fat rather than muscle to help with that calorie deficit.

The effects of testosterone in humans and other vertebrates occur by way of two main mechanisms: by activation of the androgen receptor (directly or as DHT), and by conversion to estradiol and activation of certain estrogen receptors.

Free testosterone (T) is transported into the cytoplasm of target tissue cells, where it can bind to the androgen receptor, or can be reduced to 5alpha-dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by the cytoplasmic enzyme 5alpha-reductase. The areas of binding are called hormone response elements (HREs), and influence transcriptional activity of certain genes, producing the androgen effects.

There is no question Testosterone Propionate is an excellent choice for an anabolic steroid. The benefits are there both for men struggling with low testosterone and athletes who want more endurance, more energy, and to maintain lean muscle mass. They also like the bonuses of faster recovery and the metabolism being revved up to burn more fat.

Metabolism: As all testosterone esters, testosterone propionate is rapidly hydrolysed into free testosterone in plasma.1 Testosterone is metabolized to 17-keto steroids through two different pathways. The major active metabolites are estradiol and dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

Absorption: Testosterone propionate presents a slow absorption from the intramuscular site of administration. This slow absorption is due to the presence of the less polar ester group. The absorption rate of testosterone propionate generates a frequent injection requirement when compared with testosterone enanthate or testosterone cypionate. It presents absorption parameters of AUC and residence time of 180-210 ng h/ml and 40-60 h, respectively.

Route of elimination: About 90% of a dose of testosterone given intramuscularly is excreted in the urine as glucuronic and sulfuric acid conjugates of testosterone and its metabolites. From the rest of the dose, approximately 6% of a dose is excreted in the feces, mostly in the unconjugated form.

Half life: Testosterone propionate possesses a relatively short half-life compared with other testosterone esters at approximately 4.5 days.

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Some medical conditions may interact with Testosterone Propionate.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions.

Reports have showed a potential stimulation of cancerous tissue growth. The potential testosterone propionate accumulation in the body produces a high risk of edema secondaryh to water and sodium retention
